OUR QUEST TO BE AT THE FOREFRONT
OF ANY DEVELOPMENTS WITHIN OUR INDUSTRY
Network Restoration Services have been cleaning and restoring carpets now for over 19 years, during that time we have been involved in various forms of training both here and overseas.
Both the insurance industry, carpet retail outlets and carpet manufacturers have sought advice from our company, leading to our firm successfully accomplishing major cleaning restoration works throughout NSW and Queensland.
To this end we specifically built one of Australia's largest truck-mounted carpet cleaning units which enabled us to restore a manufacturing fault in a 39 storey building on the Gold coast. This was the first time a truck-mounted unit has cleaned as high as 39 floors (with the machine parked in the basement).
Network's armoury of restoration equipment doesn't stop at hot water extraction machines because different carpets and problems need to be approached with an open mind as to what form of cleaning will be most succesful.
DRY CLEANING SYSTEMS
These systems are not normally the dry cleaning units that you'll see being hawked on the televison screen, but instead are dry fusion systems that employ a heat poultice system that allows greater oily soil removal (and takes dry cleaning to the next level). This system is the only dry cleaning system which has been accepted by Wool Save Australia. The dry fusion system applies a protective coating to the face fibre as it cleans, ensuring that resoiling problems do not occurr.
CAPTURE POWDER CLEANING
This process allows us to clean delicate rugs utilizing a mild cleaning prespray, then a powder which works over an extended period of time both cleaning and absorbing oily soils and stains from the face yarns. We always utilize this form of cleaning for restoration work on dolls, hand embroidery and some oil paintings after fire damage.
PREVACUUMING
In all systems, prevacuuming is of paramount importance. It allows dry soils to be removed and reduces the cleaning load before hot water extraction, or any of the other forms of carpet cleaning, commences.
CARPET SPOTTING
Carpet spotting has for too long being the domain of the supermarket marketing, and we find that it is human nature to not read the label. Numerous times clients have used a spotter with devastating results, like causing a colour reaction (bleaching) or increasing the size of the original stain. Deodorizers can cause bacterial problems and colour changes due to the residue not being completely removed.
Our company promotes correct basic spotting methods - Absorb the spill immediately using a slurpex and rinse until all transfer is complete, then dry (if completely successful) with cold forced air.
In cases where stains seem to appear from nowhere it is normally from a residue in the carpet which is attracting dirt and the stain slowly becomes darker. Whatever the product that you use, make sure you read the label, and if it says 'test on an inconspicous area', do it when applied and you will also need to agitate. This does not mean rub - instead use a hairbrush to tamp the stain before blotting the residue and chemical off. If the stain comes back it simply means that you have not removed the residue which is attracting the dirt.
BEWARE IF YOU HAVE USED SPOTTERS ON YOUR CARPET. Inform your professional carpet cleaning technican before you have your carpets cleaned as these may have already reacted with the carpet fibres. These reactions often don't become visually apparent until the cleaning takes place. A good example of this is when a client has used a bleaching agent (such as window cleaner) and as a result the colour dyes are damaged but still visible. When flushed with water you are left with a bleached area where it had been previously spotted.
Network has a free advice line which is diverted after hours. One of our qualified senior technicans will do their best to assist you with any emergency you may have.
